This little guy was so full of fun and energy that was truly infectious! I had a great time photographing mom and son in Central Park- and seeing the park through his eyes.
He especially loved the boats…
It was a beautiful day in the park!

I had the opportunity to photograph 4 amazing families in New York City this past weekend, and it was fantastic! The weather in New York City was beautiful and the families were even more so. I have a lot to catch up on with the blog, but first I had to share a promised sneak peek for this lovely family I photographed in Riverside Park on the Upper West Side.
I first had the privilege of photographing these twin girls when they were 3 months old in Pikesville, MD last year, and they certainly have grown into beautiful toddlers!
This blog post is out of order, as I am in dire need of updating the blog and have a couple of darling 1 year old girls, a fabulous couple, some adorable families and others to share with you as well, but in honor of a dear friend who had a baby yesterday, I decided this would be baby day!
This sweet baby boy has 2 older sisters, and is sure to have lots of fun with them in the years to come! He wanted to show off his baby blues until the end of the session, when he drifted off to sleep, tired from the photoshoot. He is a month old now, and is probably already looking so big! I can’t wait to photograph him again.
The sweet baby blues…
Clearly, modeling is hard work!
Is anything better than a sleepy smile?

And the oldest of the family, darling M, who was my second shooter for this session ![]()

I met this wonderful family at the grounds of the Baltimore Zoo and this little guy loved to fly up in the air, as you can see! Despite the bugs and the humidity (goes without saying in a Baltimore summer really) it was a fantastic session and I really can see the joy in this family through their photos.
Ashley Layfield Photography will be taking a break- I am still working on galleries that need to go out, and if you are waiting for a gallery or an order, those will be wrapped up by Friday at the latest. I will still be photographing my wonderful baby planners through the summer as well. Otherwise, I won’t be doing any sessions for the month of July as a break to sort some things out in the business and to hopefully become inspired again.
I want to be there for my clients at my best, and bring you the best photography experience I can from start to finish. So, things, they will be sorted out, and I hope to announce to you that I am back and better than ever (and with some exciting changes and fall photo specials) soon!
