In the thick

June 30, 2009 –

Ashley Layfield Photography will be taking a break- I am still working on galleries that need to go out, and if you are waiting for a gallery or an order, those will be wrapped up by Friday at the latest. I will still be photographing my wonderful baby planners through the summer as well. Otherwise, I won’t be doing any sessions for the month of July as a break to sort some things out in the business and to hopefully become inspired again.

I want to be there for my clients at my best, and bring you the best photography experience I can from start to finish.  So, things, they will be sorted out, and I hope to announce to you that I am back and better than ever (and with some exciting changes and fall photo specials) soon!

Hello!

This time of year is very busy for my family, as there are many friend and family birthdays, Easter, and this year some travel thrown in there as well.  The most special day of the year to me is coming up on Monday- my daughter’s birthday!  There will be fun, cakes, and a couple of parties, so lots of preparation.

I am looking forward to some fun sessions this month despite the busy calendar- twin girls, my Wee-Cycle contest winner, and the rescheduled day of mini-sessions at the Cylburn Arboretum.

I also have another winner to annouce!  At the Timonium Tot Swap this past weekend I had a drawing from my mailing list sign up and the winner is…Elisa!  Elisa wins a free session and my CD Collection I.  Elisa, I will be contacting you with the details, congrats!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend of holiday celebrating, weather it be for Easter or for Passover.

Spring Mini-Sessions at the Cylburn Arboretum

March 9, 2009 –

I have a few spots left for my Spring Mini-Sessions at the Cylburn Arboretum (http://www.cylburnassociation.org/index.htm). Those on the mailing list got the first notice of this event- if you would like to be included on the mailing list for upcoming events and specials, email me at ashleylayfieldphotography@gmail.com!

The Spring Mini-Sessions will take place on Sunday, March 29th at the Cylburn Arboretum (http://www.cylburnassociation.org/index.htm). Cylburn Arboretum is one of my favorite places to shoot, as it has many locations within the grounds for some variety and just gorgeous greenery.

If you are interested in booking contact me with the time you would like between 9am and 4pm. Spring Mini-Sessions will be 30 minutes long and can include up to 5 people. The session fee of $150 will include your session and digital files in both black&white and color, along with a 5×7 print. If you are wanting to get in on this date, email me ASAP, because they will fill up quickly!

Ashley Layfield Photography at Harford County’s Wee-Cycle Event

February 10, 2009 –

If you have kids, know someone who does, or are now pregnant, you will want to check out the Wee-Cycle Mart Event at the Havre de Grace Community Center February 26th-March 1st.  This event features vendors of all kinds focusing on moms, kids, and families and you will have an opportunity to browse new or like new items for sale for your little one.

I will be there on Friday and Saturday to photograph all of those gorgeous babies and children for the Harford County Wee-Cycle photo contest.  Have your children’s photo taken for free and be entered to win a photography package valued at over $400.  All of the prize package details will be given to the participants at the Wee-Cycle event.  I will also be offering special packages if you are interested in ordering the photos I take of your child that day.

Ashley Layfield Photography will have a table for all 4 days of the event, so stop by and pick up information, look at product samples, and receive a session fee discount for booking a session that day!

Blog Neglect!

December 18, 2008 –

I am guilty as charged.   The end of the year rush has gotten to me and I am just now digging out!  To make up for it here are some more doses of cuteness from mini-sessions at Bediboo.

Rounding out the year here on the blog, I will be posting some photos from Melissa and AJ’s beautiful winter wedding (it even snowed!) and wrapping up the top ten client photos from 2008.

Blog Note!

December 3, 2008 –

Don’t you love it when you have a lightbulb moment?  I just had one!  The images here have been looking very grainy and off compared to what they actually are before I resize for the blog, and I have figured out how to make that no longer happen.  So, I will be reuploading previous images as I can, but starting with the previous post, they will look as they truly are.  Yay!

Bediboo sessions!

So excited to be partnering up with Bediboo!  Bediboo is a great shop in Baltimore for all things baby and kid.  You can see their site here: http://www.bediboo.com/storenews.html

I will be doing mini-sessions at Bediboo on Saturday, December 6th from 10-2.  You can call the store (410-444-6060) for more info and to schedule a time, or you can just come out on those dates, shop around, and get your child’s picture taken with no sitting or session fee! There will be special mini-packages available just for these Bediboo sessions.

Feel free to bring any fun things you might want in the picture, or email me if you have any questions about the pics.
