Family Session- the O Family

February 24, 2009 –

I love doing sessions in client’s homes.  It is the place where they feel the most comfortable, the place where they spend the most time, and that really comes through in the photos.  And also, it is so fun to see the kids get excited about showing me their rooms!  Twins Z and A did show me their rooms- and they were extra excited because they just moved in to a new house.   We even did some fun photos with moving boxes!

Here are just a few of the photos from our session- I know I will be back to show more from this one!

Love, love when parents get some photos as a couple!

Flashback Friday

February 20, 2009 –

I’ve decided to start Flashback Friday- bringing back an oldie but goodie to share with you, as I do sessions during the weekend and typically share new stuff at the beginning of the week.  This is from an engagement session last August with Jayna and Ronak.  We had so much fun at our session, and got lots of the more traditional photos of the couple in love, but this one is my favorite.  They just have that something- an intangible cool.

(I also just realized it is also part of my blog header- so you know I really like it, right :)!

Little Lady L

This is my 3rd time photographing this gorgeous girl, and each time it is more and more fun!  She is 6 months old and even though she gave her mom and dad a run for their money earlier in the day, she was all smiles for me!  (Isnt’t that the way it always is?)

Ashley Layfield Photography at Harford County’s Wee-Cycle Event

February 10, 2009 –

If you have kids, know someone who does, or are now pregnant, you will want to check out the Wee-Cycle Mart Event at the Havre de Grace Community Center February 26th-March 1st.  This event features vendors of all kinds focusing on moms, kids, and families and you will have an opportunity to browse new or like new items for sale for your little one.

I will be there on Friday and Saturday to photograph all of those gorgeous babies and children for the Harford County Wee-Cycle photo contest.  Have your children’s photo taken for free and be entered to win a photography package valued at over $400.  All of the prize package details will be given to the participants at the Wee-Cycle event.  I will also be offering special packages if you are interested in ordering the photos I take of your child that day.

Ashley Layfield Photography will have a table for all 4 days of the event, so stop by and pick up information, look at product samples, and receive a session fee discount for booking a session that day!

Beautiful Miss S- 6 Months Old

February 9, 2009 –

Another baby I have had the pleasure of watching grow up so far!  Yesterday was a very special day for baby S, as it was her baptism day.

Isn’t she a happy girl?  I just love her nursery!

Snow Day, Fun Day

February 2, 2009 –

I have two sneak peeks to share from this weekend’s sessions- both with sweet baby boys!  Those are coming up this evening, but I wanted to share a couple from last week’s snow day in Baltimore.  The snow came first and the ice followed the next day, but that first days’s snow was perfect for a snow walk.
